Several years ago we posted this
photo in hopes of identifying the individual. Somebody wrote the
name James Connick on the outside folder. The stamp on the
picture frame is from Boussum Photo Studios and in somebody's
handwriting is the code V189 30-2/6. There is a Bosussum Studios
in San Jose, CA.
Barry Connick wanted to know if this is James Connick Sr. who was a seaman. San Jose is not far from Vallejo, California where James Sr. met his wife Sarah Ann McArdle.

About the picture "Unknown Connick" for the California Connicks. James Allen Connick the seaman, was my great grandfather who died in 1899. Based on the clothing in the picture - the shirt collar, the striped tie - I think this photo was taken in the 1920s. There was a Boussums Studio in Vallejo from 1918 to 1923 according to city directories [Ancestry]. I think this pic is probably his son James Nathaniel Connick b. 1894.
